What I Wore

I've never done one of these WIW posts. I went to dinner and to see Sam Sliva and The Good Friday night and this was my comfortable but stylish outfit. 
Everything you see is from Target other than my nail polish. What can I say? I know what I like.

decided to try #photoaday again (although I majorly failed March)
drank my favorite beer
watched one of my favorite movies
learned how to play blackjack and texas hold 'em poker
ate lemon meringue cheesecake - yum
drank this tea only to read the motivational saying under the cap

My Favorite Necklace

This week, That's What We Said posted a DIY necklace tutorial to take an old necklace and make a new one with ribbon and a flower. I made one a while back and love it. Check out their tutorial!

Delicious Smoothie

Another one of my favorite blogs, Lovely Little Things posted a peanut butter banana smoothie this week. I decided to try it (even though I'm not even a big peanut butter fan) and I love it! It kept me full for hours and tasted like dessert (and we all know I love dessert!). I might add a little bit of Nutella next time for something different. Definitely a recipe to repeat!

Mug Swap!

I love coffee mugs. I even got them as presents when I was born. (Weird, right?) Susan over at Suzel Says is doing a Mug Swap instead of a regular "link-up". If you want to sign up, just head over here and sign up! She'll pair you with another blogger and you'll send each other mugs related to their blog personality! Love this idea.

Blog Fail

Well, I failed to complete the March Photo A Day challenge. I did really well for about 18 days, and then I got really busy, had a couple of sick days (yuck), and didn't get back to it. I enjoyed it during the days I participated, but there were a few times when I didn't find the subject matter appealing, so my picture wasn't that good. 

Next time I start out at one of these, I might just take a random picture a day instead of having a set template. Did any of you complete the challenge? I want to see your pictures!

Keith Urban Concert

Last night I went to a benefit for the Beyond Batten Disease Foundation which just happened to include an open bar and Keith Urban. Our complimentary tickets allowed us to be about 15 feet away from the amazing, sexy, and oh so talented Mr. Urban. 

The foundation raised over $500,000 from a live auction before the concert which will all be going towards medical research for thousands of rare genetic disorders. I am honored to have been in their presence and thank them for an amazing night that I'll never forget.

Big Changes

This last week has been insane. I graduated with my Master Degree and am now officially a Physician Assistant! 

All photos taken by my mom at 501(c)andids.

I then packed up my entire life and moved across the country, making sure to take pics along the way (what "hobby photographer" doesn't?). 

The pic on the bottom right was of an entire area with abandoned old cars. 

The sunset was gorgeous and made for some amazing pictures that didn't require a bit of editing. :)

I even got to try my first In-N-Out Burger in Dallas! Best part (other than the deliciousness living up to my expectations) were that they gave us a Christmas card signed by every employee!

Next up: coming up with the menu of desserts to be made on Christmas Eve (which will definitely be a blogpost).
