My First Birchbox!

Have you heard of Birchbox? 

$10 a month and you get a box of beauty samples in the mail. Who doesn't love snail mail and samples? 

I signed up last month and got my 1st package last week! 

The packages aren't always the same for each person, so here's what I received!

fresh Sugar Rosé Tinted Lip Treatment SPF 15 - full size $22.50
sample (2 grams) - worth $10.50

I love this lip balm! It has sugar in it to exfoliate your lips, and the color is just subtle enough to not be overpowering. I might just break down and buy a full size when my sample's out. 

XOXO Notecard - set of 12 $10
sample card - worth $0.83

Super cute and goes well with the Gossip Girl theme of the May Birchbox. I will definitely use this to send a quick note to a friend soon (or maybe in a blogger swap!).

Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensée Cologne - full size (200 mL) $175

OMG this smells uh-mazing...

Dr. Jart+ Water Fuse Beauty Balm SPF 25+ - full size $32
sample (2 mL) - worth $1.13

Haven't yet used this, and the sample is incredibly small...probably only enough to use once, maybe twice.

Color Club Nail Polish in Gold - full size $8
sample - worth $4

Very bold color (the pic doesn't do it justice), but I have started to wear more gold jewelry than silver, so maybe it's fate?

Twistband Hair Tie in Lime Green - 12 pack $18
sample - worth $1.50

I just bought my first pack of these ribbon hair ties recently and love them! They leave less of a crease in your hair and look much cuter on your wrist.

Overall, I was really happy with my box of samples! 6 items worth $19 for only $10 including a lip balm and hair tie I've used daily since getting my box? Definitely worth it. Can't wait to get my June box!
